She?s on one of the hottest shows in television, and now Jane Lynch is being pursued as the host of the Emmy Awards this year.
According to a report, FOX was a fan of CBS? move to have Neil Patrick Harris emcee last year?s event, and now that they have the ball, they?re hoping Lynch will hit a home run.
Though Ryan Seacrest would have been an obvious choice, the network was afraid having the ?American Idol? stud host just before launching Simon Cowell?s ?X Factor? would be counter productive.
The 2011 Primetime Emmy Awards is scheduled to air on FOX network on Sunday, September 18th.
