'I just kind of dragged her in at the last minute,' Madge explains to MTV News of her daughter's short-lived role.

Madonna worked with a number of skilled thespians on "W.E.," but when it came to one smaller role in the film, which opens Friday, the pop star/director knew of one up-and-comer she felt would be perfect for the role: her daughter, Lourdes.
"There was a scene where she played Wally as a young girl," she told MTV News about her daughter's role as the teen version of Abbie Cornish's character, a modern-day American obsessed with the romance between American divorcée Wallis Simpson and King Edward VIII. "And I just kind of dragged her in at the last minute. It was quite unfair of me what I did and what I asked her to do."
Cornish teased Lourdes' appearance to us back in March 2011, but, as it sometimes happens in Hollywood, Lourdes' bit part will remain unseen. "But she was really great and then I ended up cutting her out of the film. Ruthless, I know," Madge teased. "I said, 'Sorry babe, you're on the cutting room floor.' She took it like a champ."
Making the choice to not include Lourdes was one of the many decisions the Queen of Pop had to make while shooting the film. But, hard decisions come easy to Madonna and the experience of shooting this film has only heightened her desire to direct more in the future.
"Yes, watch out Visconti!" she laughed. "No, I'm not a blockbuster kind of a girl, I don't think. But I do love the idea of making a sweeping epic romance. And now that I know how to make a film in three different countries, with several different time periods and lots of different accents; I think I'm qualified."

She?s been busy doing press promotions for her new movie ?This Is War,? and Reese Witherspoon let a secret slip during a recent interview.
The ?Sweet Home Alabama? actress took a Twitter question from a fan who asked her about her first celebrity crush.
Reese replied, "I have to say probably Johnny Depp in '21 Jump Street.' I just had a really major crush on him. I used to pull pictures out ofTeen Beat and put them on my wall."
Ms. Witherspoon added, "I don't think he knows. I'm not sure it would faze him: I'm sure he's heard that quite a bit."
As for her decision to make the action-oriented ?This Means War,? Reese explained, "I try not to make the same movie twice. I try to explore and push out in new areas, and I thought it was a nice way to get comedy and action together. I've never really been in a movie with a bunch of guns and action sequences. I'd turn to Tom and Chris and say, 'The bad guys are chasing us ? this is hysterical!' It would just make me laugh. I think it's ridiculous ? me running from the bad guys. But it was really fun."

Watson is in talks to star in the Yates-directed 'Your Voice in My Head.'
By Kara Warner
No, this is not about another "Harry Potter" movie, but a potential re-teaming of superstar Emma Watson and director David Yates for a new drama called "Your Voice in My Head."
According to Deadline New York, Watson is in discussions to play the role of a young woman who attempts suicide before being saved by a New York-based psychiatrist who's dying of cancer. The film is based on author Emma Forrest's memoir of the same name, the screenplay for which Forrest also wrote, and it is expected to be Yates' next project. He and Watson worked together on the final four "Potter" films, and Watson has always spoken very highly of Yates' abilities as a director and the environment he creates on set.
Warner Bros., the studio reportedly shopping the project for Watson and Yates, is said to be looking at heavy hitters like Tom Hanks and George Clooney for the role of the psychiatrist.
While we wait for the official details to be confirmed, Watson can currently be seen in Oscar hopeful "My Week With Marilyn" and will appear later this year in the much-buzzed-about adaptation of Stephen Chbosky's coming-of-age novel "The Perks of Being a Wallflower."
"It's so funny because I never thought I'd make another sort of high school-esque movie," Watson told us of her role as Sam, the love interest of main character Charlie (played by Logan Lerman). "And here I am in this coming-of-age, American teen [movie]. But it's very witty, and it's very funny and it's very moving, so I'm excited."
In addition to being up for "Your Voice in My Head," Yates, who was also rumored to be in talks for taking on the big-screen version of "Dr. Who," will make "A Reliable Wife" for Sony.
