Looking Back At The Three Mile Island Accident

Michele Norris speaks with Tom Kauffman, who was a reactor operator during the Three Mile Island accident. He is now spokesman for Nuclear Energy Institute, an industry group based in Washington. He says Three Mile Island is very different than what is happening in Japan at the moment. But he was aware, just as the Japanese reactor workers are aware, that residents were being evacuated as reactor employers worked to control the situation.
